Souvenirs

Painter active in Naples 1754-1804; his most famous work is a series of 54 illustrations for William Hamilton's Campi Phlegraei (Naples, 1776-1779). 

Mozart Relevance

One of Fabris's domestic scenes is said to represent a performance by Mozart, his father Leopold and the violinist Gaetano Pugnani at the home of Kenneth Mackenzie, Lord Fortrose. The painting dates from 1770 or 1771. For a fuller description of the picture, click here.
